Why do I see no AAAA record

Many domains are still IPv4 only. If the A lookup returns results and AAAA does not, the host likely does not publish IPv6.

How do brackets work with IPv6

Accepted Answer

Brackets are used only when an IPv6 literal appears in a URL host, for example https://[2001:db8::1]/. They are not needed in path parameters.
